Being Green
We all need to consider our impact on the environment and teach our children to do the same. That is why Gembalina's Toy Shop only stocks ethical toys made from European wood from sustainable, managed forests. The toys are made in Europe and coloured with non-toxic dyes and paints, according to European Safety Standards. Our toys have been lovingly made so you can give them to your children, grandchildren and friends with a clear conscience.
How we try to be GREEN
We always try to keep our environmental impact and carbon footprint to a minimum. To this end, we:
- supply good quality ecologically responsible wooden toys from Europe.
- carefully source our toys from environmentally conscious toymakers and request that they keep their packaging to a minimum.
- keep our business as paper-free as we can, only printing when essential.
- use recycled materials whenever possible or appropriate.
- donate a percentage of our annual profits to charities that help the environment.
- turn off lights, appliances and computers when they are not being used.
- recycle at work and at home.
- donate used printer cartridges to charities.
- use a green, wind-powered web host.
- encourage others to follow similar principles.
